A humpback whale crafted from reclaimed metal and hardware surges through crashing surf made from hand-sculpted and assembled resin waves accented with seafoam beads. A fragmented biomorphic frame carved from reclaimed wood stained a rich, dark espresso completes the nautical theme.
This piece was named by our daughter after one of her favorite books: "Whale Shines", written by Fiona Robinson, is a story in which a whale finds his own unique artistic voice among a literal sea of traditional art creators.
